On March 6, NBLC is sponsoring a workshop outlining how employers can empower their employees to become homeowners in the same city in which they work.

A recent study has shown that 20% of employees leave their jobs due to the high cost of housing in this region. Therefore employers have significant costs in recruiting and training of new employees hired to fill vacancies left by quality employees in search of more affordable housing. If employees live in the same community as the one they work in, congestion can be relieved due to reduction of vehicle miles traveled.

Northbay Family Homes and Cal Land will present new strategies and opportunities for employers to present to their employees. This will include an explanation of today’s unique housing market, unknown funding mechanisms, and employers’ incentives.

The workshop is free and breakfast will be served.
